We finished up on Worrell's and moved around to the southwest face. We were looking to climb the uber-classic Thais (5.5), a huge, left-facing corner and chimney system guarded by an orchard of some sort, apparently. That big, black crack just right of center and behind all of the greenery is the route. The corner to its left is Thais Direct (5.7).
There was no one on the route, surprisingly. Actually, there was hardly anyone at Seneca, and those who were there apparently were on our first choice for routes ("Ha! We fake you out! No... Wait... that's not right..."). We geared up (Brian did the leading, again, which is something I know I must change) and started up. |
