The Soldiers and Sailors monument at Grand Army Plaza, situated at the northwest corner of Prospect Park. There used to be all kinds of activity here earlier in the century - not that it's slowed down. The Plaza area was a hub for transportation (and still is, underground). Not visible in this photo are the trolley car tracks on the street, which are still in place, evidence of a bygone era.
