Oh wow. Hi there. Been bizzy and such.
Coupla/three thangs.
Pretty much all about me. But also: not. But mostly: so.
I have a handful of live dates in April that I'll be playing, after a pretty hectic (for me) and goodly March. I'm taking a wee break here and there before things heat up again in May. I'm writing some new material, and I'm occasionally playing it out, if/when I can get away with it. I'm hoping to do another record this fall. We shall see. Much to do.
Amongst the April dates, I'll be doing a followup interview and performance on Chris Darling's US Folk show on WMPG 90.9/104.1FM, on April 7th, on behalf of BEGATHON 2006. Chris' show is on from 8:30am-10:30am on Fridays. I'll be on 'round about 9:30am, give or take a minute or two. Tune in if you can. You can make a donation online and/or call in a pledge at 207-874-3000. If you're not near enough to Portland to hear Chris' show, you can still check the WMPG live stream on the WMPG site. Support public radio!
I'm also psyched to play in the old neighborhood, Brooklyn, yo, at Night and Day, on April 26th, at 9pm. Should be a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and hopefully a few new ones. Maybe you come and eat/drink, yes?
An old friend I'll put in a plug for is my bud Rob Bates. Rob's show "Rick Murphy is an Asshole" premieres tomorrow night, or April 6th for those of you late to the party, with followup shows on the 13th, 20th and 27th, at 8pm. Who wouldn't want to see a show with such a name, and drink unlimited quantities of beer all night for a mere $10? It'll be laugh-o-lific. Break a leg, Mr. Bob.
Of course there's always more to talk about, but I'm kinda plooked out, aight? So... until next time, or until I see ye, whichever happens... to happen.
